The Body Image and Eating Behaviors Lab

The Body Image and Eating Behaviors lab is directed by Dr. Sylvia Herbozo. Our research focuses on three areas of eating disorders and obesity: 1) interpersonal and sociocultural factors associated with body image, eating disorder psychopathology and obesity in at-risk populations; 2) obesity interventions for racially and ethnically diverse young adults; 3) post-surgery interventions for bariatric surgery patients with limited weight loss and/or weight regain. We also have a new area of research that focuses on mentorship for Latino students in clinical psychology.
