Tina Grieco-Calub PhD, CCC-A

  • Visiting Associate Professor, Visiting Research Scientist
  • Director for Childhood Hearing Research
Tina Grieco-Calub, PhD, CCC-A is a visiting associate professor and the Director of Childhood Hearing Research in the Institute for Juvenile Research (IJR) in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Illinois Chicago. She is an ASHA-certified audiologist who spent her early career providing clinical services to patients across the lifespan who are deaf or hard of hearing. She has integrated her clinical experience with her diverse research training in neuroscience, auditory development, and language acquisition to develop her current research program.

Binita Adhikari

Binita is a research assistant at the ListenUp Collaborative lab within the Institute for Juvenile Research (IJR) at the Department of Psychiatry. Currently pursuing her Bachelor's degree in Applied Psychology at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC), she focuses on literacy and language learning in children with hearing loss. Binita's research interests primarily lie in the mental health of children. She aspires to continue her academic journey by pursuing graduate studies in clinical psychology.

Sofiia Boiko

Sofiia is an undergraduate student at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Her major is General Psychology, and Criminology, Law and Justice. She’s passionate about clinical psychology, especially topics of childhood trauma development and war-related PTSD development in refugees. She is a member of two labs at UIC: ListenUp Research Collaborative and PEACE Lab, as well as board member of PsiChi chapter at UIC. In the future, she plans to pursue a Ph.D in Clinical Psychology.

Danbi (Tan Bi) Kim BA

Danbi is a research associate in the ListenUP Collaborative lab at the Institute for Juvenile Research (IJR) in the Department of Psychiatry. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a certificate in Neuroscience from Wheaton College. In her current role, Danbi is involved in several research projects focusing on cognition, hearing, and speech perception in children. Her primary research interests include the mental health and emotional development of young children.
