About Us

Welcome to the ListenUP Research Collaborative!

Our research group collaborates with other researchers and community partners to understand how children listen to, understand, process and learn language when their access to speech is disrupted due to background noise, hearing loss, or other sources of sound distortion. Our goals are to identify risk factors that delay children’s language and reading development and resiliency factors that support them. We use various behavioral techniques including verbal response methodologies and eye tracking.
