Discover MoreA graduate of the University of Pristina in Kosova, became interested in psychiatry, seeing the enormous need for mental health services for the victims of war in Kosovo. He did an elective in PTSD at Dartmouth, and after graduation from medical school, came to UIC to pursue epigenetic neuroscience research in Drs. Costa's and Guidotti’s lab, which resulted in numerous publications.
Marija Kundakovic received her PhD in Biochemistry & Molecular Genetics working with Dr. Dennis Grayson at the UIC Psychiatric Institute, where she participated in the pioneering work on the epigenetic dysregulation in schizophrenia.
