Females recently diagnosed with breast cancer needed for research study

Dr. Heide Klumpp, Ph.D. at the University of Illinois at Chicago is conducting a research study to investigate brain response and task performance during cognitive tasks.

You may be eligible if you are:

  1. Female and 18-70 years old
  2. Recently diagnosed with breast cancer
  3. Have not started treatment for breast cancer
  4. Will be receiving chemotherapy and/or hormone treatment

If you decide to participate, you will be asked to:

  1. Complete a clinical interview that includes cognitive function and mood
  2. 4 sessions with electroencephalography (EEG) to non-invasively measure brain function

Participants will be paid for their participation.

This study involves a time commitment of approximately 12.5 hours over a total of 5 visits, over a 6-month period.  Participation will not impact any services or treatment that you receive at UIC.  All information you give is confidential.
