Community outreach program of CARE is developed with the goal of providing educational opportunities and scientific knowledge about neurobiology of alcohol use disorder (AUD) to high school students, faculty, and other community sites. Dr. Emma Childs, Associate Professor of Psychiatry at UIC will serve as a community outreach coordinator of the CARE.

Dr. Subhash Pandey is explaining how brain is hijacked by the alcohol abuse via impacting the molecular events (gene expression and epigenetics) in the brain.

UIC Psychiatry - Community Outreach Event

The Center for Alcohol Research in Epigenetics (CARE), an NIH funded Center (Dept. of Psychiatry - COM, Subhash Pandey, PI), sponsored a lunch for a dozen science students from UIC Prep on Friday, February 16th from 1 to 3 PM.
