Tenika Flowers-Uwalaka is a Certified Recreation Therapist that provides therapeutic recreation to both adolescent and adult inpatient units at UIC . Tenika has worked with adolescents in behavioral health in educational and clinical settings of all backgrounds. As a Recreation Therapist, Tenika utilizes evidence based activity interventions to improve the cognitive, social, physical and emotional needs of adolescents on CATU. Tenika is deeply invested in helping to improve behavioral health and is honored to be apart of the CATU treatment team.
