Stephanie H. Yu, PhD (she/her/hers) received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2024, after completing her pre-doctoral residency at the University of Illinois Chicago Department of Psychiatry. As a Chinese-Taiwanese American daughter of immigrants, she is passionate about advancing social justice and equity for structurally minoritized communities across her research, clinical, and advocacy work. To date, her research has focused on culturally-responsive adaptation, dissemination, and implementation of evidence-based practices in systems of care serving structurally marginalized communities through community partnership. Her research also centers on understanding the impact of, and how racial/ethnic minoritized communities heal from, individual and systemic racism and discrimination. Her advocacy work extends to promoting greater equity, access, and anti-racism in academia and higher education overall. In Fall 2024, she begins a NIMH T32 postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.
