Shelby Wood is a doctoral student in the Behavioral Neuroscience Program in the Department of Psychology. She began her graduate studies in the fall of 2022 and is a member of Dr. Pauline Maki’s laboratory within the Women’s Mental Health Research Program. Shelby is interested in studying the impact of physical activity on women’s mental health during periods of hormonal fluctuation, with a particular focus on the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis and neuroactive steroids. Shelby received her B.A. in Neuroscience from Colgate University in 2021.
