Dr. Sharma is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry in the Mood and Anxiety Disorders program at UIC. In addition to treating individual patients, she also provides training and supervision to residents and interns.  Dr. Sharma’s approach to treatment is integrative, with emphasis on cognitive-behavioral and other evidence-based approaches, within a biopsychosocial model. Dr. Sharma’s clinical interests include treating anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma and ADHD.

Dr. Sharma received her Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Clinical Psychology from Syracuse University. She completed her APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at the SUNY Upstate Medical University, Department of Psychiatry.
