Dr. Rob Marvin graduated medical school from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and completed his adult psychiatry residency at University of Illinois at Chicago. He continued his academic career at UIC, becoming the Adult Residency Training Director in 2004, a position he held for close to 19 years before his departure.

During his time at UIC, he was active in research on first episode psychosis and education assessments; taught and supervised residents in both outpatient and inpatient rotations; and was active clinically with ECT, medication management and psychotherapy.

He currently holds a non-salaried Professor of Clinical Psychiatry appointment, supervises residents in psychotherapy, and teaches several didactic sessions.
