Dr. Carter has many years ofexperience providing therapy and treatment services to abused and neglected children and their families. He has a long-standing interest in the development of trauma-based interventions for children and families and in the development of resiliency in children and adolescents. Dr. Carter is a consultant with the UIC Comprehensive Assessment and Response Training System (CARTS) program and provides consultation, technical assistance, and training to residential treatment facilities throughout the state of Illinois.
