About
Maya is a UIUC doctoral candidate in Clinical-Community Psychology, who is serving as a clinical neuropsychology extern during the 2024-2025 academic year.
Her primary clinical interests are in neuropsychological assessment and cognitive rehabilitation post-traumatic injury. As a former collegiate athlete, Maya has a specific passion for working with athletes across multiple therapeutic contexts.
Maya’s current research focuses on developing and examining the construct of human anxious freezing behavior through the lens of established and novel anxiety dimensions, cognition, affect, psychometrics, and psychophysiological measures of neural, cardiac, respiratory, actigraphy, and ocular activity.
