Dr. Caserta is emeritus Professor of Clinical Psychiatry and interim Vice Head for Education. She has been a member of the department since 2009 and has held various roles including Medical Director of Inpatient Psychiatry and Vice Head for Clinical Services. She is board certified in Psychiatry and Geriatric Psychiatry and was active in research projects  related to Alzheimer’s disease , including animal models and imaging techniques. She has also been a residency training director and geriatric psychiatry fellowship director and is dedicated to the education of residents and medical students and serves as a mentor for junior faculty in the department.
