MacKenzie Fye, PsyD: I am a licensed clinical psychologist and the clinic coordinator for the Psychiatric Assessment Clinic (PAC) at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center. Dr. Fye joined the UIC Department of Psychiatry as a Clinical Assistant Professor in 2025, providing psychotherapy supervision to psychiatry residents. Dr. Fye specialties include Veterans, geriatric/older adults, and health psychology, focusing on addressing the psychological effects of living with chronic medical conditions. She also has significant experience working with clients struggling with symptoms of depression, anxiety, PTSD, and panic disorder. Dr. Fye’s theoretical orientation is CBT and third-wave CBT approaches (i.e., Acceptance and Commitment Therapy; Motivational Interviewing; Mindfulness). She most enjoys working with trainees who are newer to the field and wanting to establish and hone their psychotherapy skills.
