Lacey joined the lab in 2010 as an undergraduate Research Assistant. During that time she was awarded an Endocrine Society fellowship to support her Honor’s College Capstone project on the effects of oral contraceptive use on heart rate variability. In 2012, she received her B.S. in Biological Sciences from UIC and became a full-time research coordinator. In 2014, Lacey entered the Master’s Nutrition Program (MS/CP) in the College of Applied Health Sciences at UIC. Lacey currently leads the implementation of a research project focusing on the predictors of perinatal mental health in women receiving OB care at UIC. Her Master's research focuses on mental health and nutrition in pregnancy.
