About

Dr. Jennette is Clinical Neuropsychologist and Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry, Neurology and Transplant Surgery at the University of Illinois Chicago College of Medicine. Dr. Jennette earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Flagler College, master’s degree in gerontology from the University of South Florida, and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. He completed his Clinical Psychology Internship at the University of Chicago Medical Center and Postdoctoral Fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology at UI Health.

Dr. Jennette is the Director of the Transplant Neuropsychology Service, and coordinator for multiple interdisciplinary and embedded clinics, including the Interdisciplinary Memory Clinic, Embedded Adult Sickle Cell Clinic, and Emergency Medicine Consult Service.

Dr. Jennette's clinical interests include neuropsychological assessment of adults with dementia, complex neurological/medical disorders, cerebrovascular disease, epilepsy, Long COVID, and traumatic brain injury (TBI). 

He also has a special interest in working with older adults with memory concerns and is a provider in the UI Health Interdisciplinary Memory Clinic.

He has also established specialty clinics for solid organ transplant surgery candidates (kidney, liver, pancreas, small bowel) and neurocognitive changes in Long COVID. 

Dr. Jennette's research is broadly focused on translational neuroscience and the role of neuropsychology in interdisciplinary care. 

Particular areas of research interest include: Transplant Neuropsychology, Health Psychology and Cardiopulmonary Function, Aging and Dementia, Functional Neuroimaging, Performance Validity Testing in Neuropsychology.

He is a member of the Midwest Roybal Center, Center for Research on Health and Aging (CRHA), UIH Concussion Management Program, and ILLINet RECOVER.
