Khelud Abdlazziz

Khelud Abdlazziz is originally from Iraq. She was resettled with her husband and two children to America in 2008. In Iraq, Khelud studied at the University of Baghdad where she obtained her degree in mathematics in 1996. After coming to the United States, she worked as an early childhood teacher. Currently, she serves as a peer facilitator in the Flourish Lab where she deliver CAFES2, a peer-led family and social strengthening intervention to newcomer families. She believes she has been fortunate to work with the team at the Flourish Lab as this allows her to use her certificate as an interpreter and relationships and skills engaging with the community! She enjoys working with families as a part of this research team!
