Kathryn received her BA from Buffalo State College, and subsequently earned her MS and PhD in Behavioral Neuroscience from Binghamton University. Her research focus was on the long-term impact of early life alcohol exposure on emotional processing and social behavior, with a specific interest in amygdala and prefrontal cortex dysfunction. As a postdoctoral research associate in the Lasek lab, Kathryn is interested in understanding the individual variability associated with vulnerability for developing alcohol use disorder via molecular and epigenetic mechanisms.
