Kajal Mawa MD

Dr. Kajal Mawa is an Addiction Psychiatry Fellow at the University of Illinois Chicago and recently completed her Psychiatry Residency at Carilion Clinic Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. Her clinical interests include substance use disorders, collaborative care, and integrated behavioral health, with a particular focus on improving access to evidence-based addiction treatment. As a first-generation physician and immigrant, she is passionate about patient-centered care, medical education, and addressing the social factors that influence recovery and mental health.
