Joshua Affinati is passionate about neuroscience and mental health, with a growing focus on translational research and epigenetic mechanisms in neuropsychiatric disorders. He is particularly interested in studying how molecular changes, such as DNA methylation, contribute to psychiatric conditions and their potential as therapeutic targets.
In addition to training as an EMT, Joshua volunteers with Crisis Text Line, providing critical support to individuals in crisis. He looks forward to advancing his skills in molecular neuroscience to better understand the biological foundations of mental health and bridge the gap between research and clinical care.
