Dr. Cooper joined the UIC Department of Psychiatry in 2018. He completed undergraduate studies in Neuroscience at Johns Hopkins University, medical school and residency in Psychiatry at the University of Chicago, and fellowship in Behavioral Neurology and Neuropsychiatry at Northwestern University. Prior to joining UIC, he served as the Director of Neuropsychiatry and Neuromodulation Services and Director of Residency Training in Psychiatry at the University of Chicago.
Dr. Cooper’s interests include bringing neuroscientific and neuropsychiatric perspectives into general psychiatric education.
