Dr. Tanawan is an Addiction Medicine Fellow in the Department of Psychiatry at UIC. He is particularly interested in working towards increasing access to substance use disorder treatment in urban, historically underserved settings and the interplay between social determinants of health and substance use disorders.

Board certified in Family Medicine, Dr. Tanawan also is passionate about preventive medicine and and integrating substance use disorder treatment and management in primary care settings.
