John begins his doctoral studies in the Behavioral Neuroscience Program in Fall 2016. He is interested in the neurobiology underlying cognitive dysfunction in HIV-infected women in the Women's Interagency HIV Study, focusing on DTI and resting state fMRI. Prior to joining UIC, he worked as a Mental Health Specialist at McLean Hospital on the inpatient unit and as a Clinical Research Coordinator at Massachusetts General Hospital researching genetics, aging, memory as well as MRI and PET (tau, amyloid, FDG) imaging in Alzheimer's disease. John graduated from Boston University with a B.A. in Psychology in 2012.
