Dr. Trennepohl received his MD and MPH from the University of North Carolina in 2021 and completed his psychiatry residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2025 while also serving as Chief Resident. He is currently serving as the Associate Program Director for the UIC Psychiatry Residency Program and as an attending psychiatrist in the Gender & Sexuality Clinic. He is particularly passionate about psychodynamic psychotherapy and gender-affirming care.
