Dr. Bernard received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2018 with a focus on children and adolescents. She completed an APA-accredited internship at Kennedy Krieger Institute/Johns Hopkins School of Medicine (KKI/JHSOM) with rotations in pediatric psychology and pediatric neuropsychology. She remained at KKI/JHSOM for her fellowship within the Pediatric Psychology Consultation Service, working with patients who have experienced varying medical conditions, including sickle cell disease and traumatic brain injuries. Dr. Bernard’s interests include providing bilingual assessments and evaluations for Autism Spectrum Disorders, Developmental Disabilities, individuals who are deaf or hard-of-hearing, as well as providing therapy services to those with mood, anxiety, and behavior or adherence concerns related to medical diagnoses.
