Dr. Morris directs a multidisciplinary consultation team focusing on treatment planning, for DCFS youth who have been psychiatrically hospitalized in the UIC CATU Program. Consultants work with residential treatment providers, foster care agencies, community mental health centers and schools. Additionally, Dr. Morris co-directs the TRPMI pilot program that monitors residential programs and provides consultation regarding treatment and transition planning for DCFS involved youth in residential treatment. This program also provides system-wide consultation to DCFS regarding treatment services and supports for these youth. Dr. Morris was formerly Clinical Director and Director of the Illinois State Psychiatric Institute and has worked in a variety of settings including hospital, school, residential treatment, community mental health, and independent practice primarily focusing on the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents and their families.
