In February 2023, Dr. Geri Fox, was awarded the title of Emerita Director of the Klingenstein Third- Generation Foundation-Jay G. Hirsch Medical Student Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship for her leadership over a decade. The KTGF program grant for UICOM has been renewed for an additional five years of funding, and has expanded to involve medical students on all three campuses. Kelley Volpe MD is the Chicago campus co-director. Adrienne Adams MD is the Rockford campus co-director. Niranjan Karnik MD, PhD will become the Interim KTGF Director, since the Institute for Juvenile Research will host the KTGF Medical Student Conference in February 2024.
