UIC’s Dana Rusch, assistant professor of clinical psychiatry at the College of Medicine and Institute for Juvenile Research, and Yolanda Suarez-Balcazar, professor and head of occupational therapy and professor of disability and human development at the College of Applied Health Sciences, were guests on Radio Bilingue’s program “Linea Abierta.” Rusch and Suarez-Balcazar talked about the public health effects of detention and deportation on immigrant communities.
