Dr. Neil Smalheiser awarded NIH R01 grant in medical informatics

Neil Smalheiser was recently awarded a three year NIH R01 grant in medical informatics. The major goal is to use machine learning to automatically and comprehensively index biomedical articles according to their publication types and study designs. This will improve information retrieval broadly, but especially for teams involved in systematic reviews and evidence syntheses.
