Dr. Carbray is honored by being inducted as a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing on October 18 in Washington, DC.
Julie A. Carbray, PhD, has been elected as a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing (FAAN) in its 2025 class of new honorees and will be inducted on October 18th in Washington, DC.
The Academy—which recognizes individuals who have demonstrated outstanding contributions to nursing and health policy—named Dr. Carbray among this year’s exceptional cohort. Her induction further cements her legacy of national leadership in psychiatric nursing.
Becoming a Fellow is one of the highest honors in nursing—a recognition of Julie’s vision, influence on health policy, and dedication to clinical excellence. We are incredibly proud to work alongside a leader who has not only shaped mental health care at UIC and UI Health but continues to influence nursing practice nationwide.
