A prize has also been awarded to Dr. Mark Rasenick, University of Illinois, Chicago, USA for his work on the importance of lipid rafts for signal transduction mediated by antidepressants and ketamine. He has identified the localization of Gsα within the cell membrane as crucial for antidepressant treatment both in preclinical and clinical studies and has developed a respective biomarker predicting treatment response.
