Liisa Hantsoo, Ph.D. (Pronounced: "Hahn-tso") is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where she is Director of Research in the Reproductive Mental Health Center. Her clinical work and research focus on stress and affective disorders across the female lifespan. She completed her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience at The Johns Hopkins University, her PhD in Clinical Psychology at The Ohio State University in the laboratory of Janice Kiecolt-Glaser, and her Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in the laboratory of Neill Epperson. Her research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, the Brain and Behavior Research Foundation, and the March of Dimes. She is Chair of the National Network of Depression Centers’ Women and Mood Biology task group and a member of the Clinical Advisory Board for the International Association of Premenstrual Disorders.
