Additional Resources for Medical Students

The national Psychiatry Students Interest Group Network (PsychSIGN) provides medical students interested in psychiatry with various resources, information, and opportunity bulletins. More information can be found here. There is also a on-campus student interest group at UIC called PsychEd!.

Medical students at UIC can apply to the Klingenstein Third Generation Foundation-Jay G. Hirsch Medical Student Fellowship Program, which supports young investigators engaged in basic or clinical research that may lead to a better understanding of neurological and psychiatric disorders. The AmericanAcademy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) also provides resources and award opportunities for medical students. More information can be found here.
