Psychiatry in the M4 Year

There are three M4 elective opportunities for students at the University of Illinois Hospital in psychiatry: Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, Neuropsychiatry, and Women’s Mental Health. There are also three M4 elective opportunities at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center: Consultation-Liaison, Psychiatric Admitting, and Alcohol Dependence & Substance Abuse.   Self-designed electives can also be arranged.

To apply to these electives, UIC medical students and domestic medical students should contact the Psychiatry Medical Education Coordinator. Domestic medical students can find out more about applying to electives at UIC here.
