Are you ready to work, but not sure what road to take? Come to this session to explore how your talents and skills can be used in finding a job or starting your own business. This workshop will highlight employment and small business skills, how to use traditional employment on the road to self-employment, and an introduction to planning your business. You also will learn how to assess your own interests and capabilities to choose a path and formulate your plan, conduct a job search or market research for your business, use the Internet as an employment resource, and access local employment and small business centers. Emphasis will be on promoting employment and entrepreneurship for people with
psychiatric disabilities, and how mental health providers and other supporters can help map the way. Come ready to learn and to share your work talents and ideas!
