MUSTANSKI RECEIVES GRANT FROM SOCIETY FOR SUICIDE PREVENTION Mason to Present on Mental Health Needs of Grandparent Caregiver Families
Sally Mason , Ph.D., MSW, has been invited by the Brookdale Foundation to present findings from the study “Caring for our children's children: Assessing the mental health needs and service experiences of grandparent caregiver families” at the annual Relatives as Parents National Conference June 1-3 in Denver . Dr. Mason is Co-Investigator on the study, and will present findings with PI Cheryl Smithgall of the University of Chicago .
Stanford Co-Authors Pediatrics Article on Development After Epilepsy Surgery
Lisa Stanford , Ph.D., is co-author of an article, “Developmental Outcome After Epilepsy Surgery in Infancy,” in the current issue of Pediatrics. The article also is available online at www.pediatrics.org .
Mustanski Receives Grant from the American Society for Suicide Prevention
Brian Mustanski , Ph.D., received a two-year research grant to study the prevalence and predictors of suicidality among gay, lesbian, and bisexual (GLB) youth. The funds will help support his recently launched longitudinal GLB youth study that uses an innovative recruitment approach found to reduce sampling bias in o the r populations. The study is being conducted in partnership with Howard Brown Health Center and the Broadway Youth Center .
