Carmin Presents Health Anxiety Symposium at ABCT Conference
Cheryl Carmin, Ph.D., presented a symposium, “New Directions in Health Anxiety,” at the recent conference of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT). Dr. Carmin also was Coordinator for Convention & Education Issues for the meeting. Pam Wiegartz, Ph.D., was the Local Arrangements Chair. The meeting drew record-breaking attendance.
Pickett-Schenk Gives Invited Speech at Yale MH Services Research Meeting
Sue Pickett-Schenk, Ph.D., was the invited speaker at the monthly Mental Health Services Research Division meeting at Yale University, and a panel member on a session discussing innovative family education interventions at the annual meeting of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies. Both presentations highlighted results from Dr. Pickett-Schenk’s randomized clinical trial of the Journey of Hope family-led education program.
