S Pandey Elected to ISBRA Editorial Board of Alcoholism
Subhash Pandey, Ph.D., is one of two elected U.S. representatives of International Society for Biomedical Research on Alcoholism (ISBRA) who will serve on Editorial Board of Alcoholism: Clinical Experimental Research. The board comprises 12 international representatives. Dr. Pandey’s three-year term will begin in January 2008.
MSNBC Quotes Wakschlag, Tolan on Behavior Problems in Toddlers
Lauren Wakschlag, Ph.D., and Patrick Tolan, Ph.D., were quoted in an MSNBC article, available at http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21778195/, about behavior problems in toddlers. The MSNBC article stems from an original research article published in the Journal of Child Psychology and Psychiatry 48:10 (2007), 976-987, co-authored by Drs. Wakschlag and Tolan, and colleagues, including IJR colleagues Bennett Leventhal, M.D.; Carri Hill, Ph.D.; and Barbara Danis, Ph.D.
Policies & Procedures
Over the next few months we will be providing and implementing Department Electronic, Network, Computing Policies and Procedures. All Department Policies and Procedures will be reviewed and endorsed by the Information Technology Steering Committee (ITSC) prior to presenting to the Department.
Because of our relationship to UIC and College of Medicine there are some Policies we automatically inherit. Two such policies:

- University Guidelines on the Sale, Donation, or Transfer of Computer Hard Drives and Other Magnetic Media

We will make both of these policies (along with others forth coming) a part of new employee orientation, but to those of us already in the system we are asking that each of you please take the time to read these policies.
