    Sun-Times Quotes Stein on Study of ADHD Meds effect on Sleep, Behavior

    Dean Flaherty to Address Faculty Members at June 21 Meeting
    At the start of the June 21 Faculty Meeting, Dean Flaherty will briefly address faculty members. Anyone with questions for the dean should be prepared to present them. The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. in the PI first floor auditorium.

    Stout Gives Local, International Presentations
    In the past three months, Chris Stout, Psy.D., has served as an Invited Member of the XVII International AIDS Conference Scientific Programme Committee preparing for the 2008 Conference in Mexico City. He was an invited speaker at Istanbul Conference on Democracy and Global Security, and presented on Global Health and Psychology’s Role in Amman, Jordan. Dr. Stout gave the Keynote at the Chicago City Council on World Peace Day, and at the Illinois Psychological Graduate Student Association annual meeting, speaking on Global Health Inequities. He also gave an invited talk on “Psychology, Health and the UN” for the IPA Social Responsibility Section.

    Psychiatry Department Welcome Picnic Slated for July 2
    The annual Welcome Picnic will be Monday, July 2, 4:30 to 7 p.m., in PI Park (the “backyard” of the PI building, 1601 W. Taylor St.). The annual, free event is for UIC Department of Psychiatry new trainees, faculty, staff, fellows, students, departmental employees, and families.
