Clinical Neuropsychology Residency Program Matches Top Candidates
The Clinical Neuropsychology Residency Program last week announced that it again matched with its top Pediatric and Adult Neuropsychology candidates in the national Association of Postdoctoral Programs in Clinical Neuropsychology computer match. The Adult Neuropsychology Fellow will be Lauren Schwarz who is completing her internship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and who will receive her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology this spring from Saint Louis University. The Pediatric Neuropsychology Fellow, Carla Morton, is completing her internship at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center in Chicago. She is also doing a minor clinical and research rotation with Sue Labott, Ph.D., and will receive her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science.

Fox News last Tuesday interviewed Bennett Leventhal, M.D., on the subject of child prodigies. The interview was broadcast on the 9 p.m. news cast.
Graczyk Presents at Boston Conference on Positive Behavior Supports
Patricia Graczyk, Ph.D., recently gave an invited presentation at the 4th annual conference of the Association for Positive Behavior Supports held in Boston. The title of her presentation was “Helping students with internalizing needs within a PBS framework.”
Mar. 30 Deadline for Nontenured Faculty Seeking or Considering Promotion
Assistant Professors and Associate Professors on the nontenured Research, Clinical Discipline or the Clinical Track who are interested in applying for promotion this fall must meet with Dr. Dove and obtain his approval by March 30. The Psychiatry Department Intranet web page has links to important information, including deadlines, blank forms, norms for promotion, and a blank CV template. All prospective candidates, including junior faculty who are considering applying for promotion in the next few years, are urged to visit the site: https://intranet.psych.uic.edu/p_n_t/index.htm.
Candidates and junior faculty also should try to attend both workshops, Planning for Promotion/Tenure and Enhancing Your CV, and An Overview of the P/T Process (timing, deadlines, the forms, documentation, etc.). Three workshops on each topic have been scheduled throughout March. The last workshop on Planning for P&T and Enhancing Your CV will be offered Thurs., March 22, from 9 to 10 a.m., in NPI Conference Room 438. An Overview of the P/T Tenure Process will be offered in NPI conference room 438 today, March 19, from 3 to 4 p.m.; and again on Thurs.
