American College of Psychoanalysts Names Winer President

At the recent annual meeting of the American College of Psychoanalysts, Jerome Winer, M.D., was recently named president of the College. Membership in the honorary association of medical psychoanalysts is limited to 200 Fellows and Members. At the recent American Psychiatric Association annual meeting in Philadelphia, Dr. Winer co-chaired a panel co-sponsored by the Illinois State Psychiatric Society and The American College of Psychoanalysts, titled "Combined Therapy: Dynamic Psychotherapy and Medication." Dr. Winer also presented a paper at the APA meeting entitled "When the Well Meaning Psychiatrist Becomes the Patient's Negative Other."
