Psychological Science Agenda Covers Porges' Polyvagal Theory

The fall issue of Psychological Science Agenda, the newsletter of the Science Directorate of the American Psychological Association, includes a feature story on the research of Stephen Porges, Ph.D. Entitled "Polyvagal Theory: Three Neural Circuits Regulate Behavioral Reactivity," the article explains Porges's theory that the neurocircuitry of human emotions evolved over time, and that acoustic stimulation of this neurocircuitry can be an effective intervention in autism-spectrum disorders.
