Scientific American Quotes G. Pandey on Biochemistry of Suicide

Ghanshyam Pandey, Ph.D., is quoted several times in a feature story on suicide in Scientific American. Entitled “The Neuroscience of Suicide: New Research Addresses the Wrenching Question Left when Someone Ends His or Her Own Life - Why?,” the article in the February issue explores biochemical and anatomical differences in the brains of suicide victims. Dr. Pandey is quoted on the effects of serotonin deficiencies, the impact of mood-stabilizing drugs, and the prospect of using blood platelets as markers to identify suicidal patients.
