Cook
to Present at President's New Freedom Commission on Mental Health
This
Wednesday, Judith Cook, Ph.D., will give
a presentation at President Bush's New Freedom Commission on Mental Health.
The Commission will hear a panel presentation on cultural competency issues
surrounding the delivery of mental health services to members of racial,
ethnic and cultural groups, and also will address questions concerning
employment and income support related to mental health. Dr. Cook was invited
as an expert on employment and income suppot. In June, Anil Godbole, M.D.,
was appointed the to 15-member commission, which is charged with conducting
a comprehensive study of the U.S. mental health service delivery system,
and advising the President on methods of improving the system.
