News Last week, John Sweeney, Ph.D., officially opened the new Advanced Cognitive Medicine Clinic and also welcomed aboard Marilyn Kraus, MD, a clinician who will work with him. Drs. Sweeney and Kraus and colleagues in the clinic will use functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) to explore genetic and functional brain deficits of autism and other diseases and disorders. This promising field of research can help pinpoint abnormal patterns of brain activity as individuals perform sensory, cognitive and motor tasks.
