News The Chicago HIV Prevention and Adolescent Mental Health Project (CHAMP), last week received a $1.2 million RO-1 grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to expand the project and test the intervention in South Africa. Carl Bell, MD, Director of Public and Community Psychiatry, is Principal Investigator. Dr. Bell also was recently appointed to the Advisory Council of the National Institute of Mental Health by Steve Hyman, NIMH Director
