COGNITIVE NEUROPSYCHOLOGY OF HIV AND DRUG ABUSE

Project Description
This NIDA funded study focused on HIV and club drug use effects on neurobehavioral function. This existing data set includes several hundred self-identified men who have sex with men (MSM) that are HIV+ and HIV-, with and without substance use disorders. Data includes medical and drug history, personality, trait, and emotional distress measures (e.g., sensation seeking, depression, anxiety sensitivity, antisociality, etc), measures primarily of attention, decision making, impulsivity, and memory, as well as information on risk behavior and some brief info on medication adherence. Opportunities for interns include secondary data analyses and manuscript preparation.
