Assistant Professor of Psychology in Psychiatry
Behavioral Health and Welfare Program

Dr. Thompson-Berry currently works in the Behavioral Health and Welfare Program, a program formed by contract between the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) and UIC to address the mental health needs of the most severely disturbed children and adolescents who are wards of the state. She provides training and consultation to residential treatment facilities and groups homes who serve these youth. Dr. Thompson-Berry is also involved with DCFS in the development of system wide initiatives to improve mental health services in residential treatment facilities.
