Healthy Youth Program Project
Keep It Up!: Internet-based HIV prevention with young MSM that recently tested HIV negative
The goal of this project is to develop and test an online HIV prevention program for young men who have sex with men (MSM) that recently tested HIV negative. The project is:
- conducting qualitative interviews with young MSM
- developing an online intervention and conducting usability testing
- conducting a pilot randomized clinical trial (RCT) to establish the effect size for the intervention.
The project is funded by the National Institute of Mental Health and conducted in partnership with Howard Brown Health Center (Co-investigator Robert Garofalo, MD), the Broadway Youth Center, and the UIC Center for the Advancement of Distance Education (CADE).
